Robert E. Heckman

  Robert E. Heckman, 68, of Bushkill Township, Pa, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2006 in Easton Hospital, Wilson Borough, Pa. Born: On June 19, 1937 in Bushkill Township, he was a son of the late Russell and Lillian Frey Heckman. Personal: He and his wife, the former Clara M. Setzer, observed 48 years of marriage. Robert was employed as a laborer with Union Construction, working in various places last being Collins & Maxwell, retiring in 1992. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Memberships: He was a member of the Appalachian Fiddle & Bluegrass Association, and the Belfast, Stockertown, and Kunkletown Rod & Gun Clubs. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Clara, he is survived by a son, Todd A. and his wife, Cindy of Bushkill Township; a grandson, Tyler; three brothers, Ronald of Allentown, Edward of Saylorsburg, and Terry of Nazareth; four sisters, Loretta Setzer of Bushkill Township, Dorothea Blakeslee of Saylorsburg, Dorothy Koach of Wind Gap, and Marlene Sentewitz of Wind Gap; and nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Manfred and Martin, both died earlier. Services: Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Inc., Moorestown. Call on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Bushkill M.E. Cemetery, Bushkill Township. Memorials: May be made to the Bushkill United Methodist Church, 1330 Church Road, Wind Gap, PA 18091.





Frank A. "Andy" Tomsic

Frank A. "Andy" Tomsic, 75, of Wind Gap, died on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 in the Easton Nursing Center. Born: In Allentown, he was a son of the late Frank and Ellen Fritz Tomsic. Personal: He was a graduate of Pen Argyl High School. Andy had worked for J.H. Beers in Wind Gap before retiring, and had previously worked for Engler Automotive in Wind Gap. Prior to that, he had worked for Paul E. Ace Trucking in Stroudsburg and for Silver Line Trucking in Wind Gap. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Memberships: He was a member of the American Legion Post 724 in Wind Gap. He was also a founding member of the Appalachian Fiddle and Bluegrass Association, and had played the fiddle in country bands his whole life. Survivors: He is survived by four brothers, Anthony and Bruce Tomsic, both of Wind Gap, James Tomsic of Bushkill Township, and Charles Tomsic of Saylorsburg; three sisters, Geraldine Miller and Bernadine Ceraul, both of Pen Argyl, and Anita Wentzell of Wind Gap; a step-mother, Edith Tomsic Kolb of Wind Gap; his loving friend and caretaker, Kathleen Parsons of Saylorsburg; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A son, Barry Tomsic, a daughter, Andrea Lynn Tomsic, two sisters, Katherine Knitter and Eleanor Kolb, and a brother, Ronald Williamson, all died earlier. Services; Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Kresge Funeral Home, Route 209 Brodheadsville, with the Rev. Emmett Wentzell officiating. A viewing will be held on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Eaton Cemetery, Saylorsburg. Frank O. Graham

Frank O. Graham, 73, of West Milford, died Sunday, January 21, 2007 at Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pompton Plains. Born in Orange, Frank was the son of the late Patrick and Helen (nee Mason) Graham. Growing up in Bloomingdale, he was a graduate of Butler High School. Upon graduation, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Moving to West Milford in 1963, Frank raised a daughter and three sons, working as a self-employed mason to support his growing family. A talented musician, Frank loved to play the guitar, the Dobro and the fiddle, and would leave original birthday melodies on his grandson’s answering machine in California. A lover of bluegrass, he was a member of the Appalachian Fiddle & Bluegrass Association, the Pocono Bluegrass & Folk Society and the Bluegrass & Old Time Music Association of New Jersey.

Jon Pilewski,62,died Friday June 1st,2007 at Newton Memorial Hospital. He was born April 4th 1945, in Orange and had resided in Hardwick NJ for most of his life.Jon was retired from D&F Well Drilling Company in Stanhope.He was a member of the Appalachian Fiddle & Bluegrass Association.He loved fishing & boating.Son of the late Alexander and Mary Pilewski, he is suvived by his wife,the former Diane Buckley.

Frederick D. Sharp


Frederick D. Sharp 84, great-grandfather
DOVER,NJ -- Frederick D. Sharp died on Saturday, April 12, 2008, at home. He was 84. He was a lifelong Dover resident. He was a self-employed milk man for more than 40 years. He was a Dover firefighter for 56 years. He loved bluegrass music and loved going to bluegrass festivals. He was a member of the Appalachian Fiddle and Bluegrass Association. He was also a member of the Pine Hill Ramblers. He is predeceased by his wife, Virginia, and his son, William Sharp. He is survived by his son, John F. Sharp of St. Martin; daughter, Barbara Winters of Salt Lake City, Utah; nine grandchildren and three treasured great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of Quigley Funeral Home, 68 N. Bergen St., Dover, N.J. 07801. Donations are requested to the Dover Fire Dept., P.O.
