Frank O. Graham, 73, of West Milford, died Sunday, January 21, 2007 at Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pompton Plains. Born in Orange, Frank was the son of the late Patrick and Helen (nee Mason) Graham. Growing up in Bloomingdale, he was a graduate of Butler High School. Upon graduation, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Moving to West Milford in 1963, Frank raised a daughter and three sons, working as a self-employed mason to support his growing family. A talented musician, Frank loved to play the guitar, the Dobro and the fiddle, and would leave original birthday melodies on his grandson’s answering machine in California. A lover of bluegrass, he was a member of the Appalachian Fiddle & Bluegrass Association, the Pocono Bluegrass & Folk Society and the Bluegrass & Old Time Music Association of New Jersey. Frank is survived by his daughter, Kathie Graham-Thomas of California; his sons, Patrick A. Graham and William P. Graham, both of West Milford; his sisters, Theresa Skibinski, Helen Zwinak and Florence Graham; and his grandson, Ian Patrick Graham Thomas. Funeral services will commence 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, and will proceed to a 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in West Milford. Burial will follow at the church’s cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
