AFBA Shindigs are Moving !

Alas, our indoor shindig site of the past four years has ceased operations.

The American Legion, 935 Main St., Hellertown, closed its doors on June 16.
We'll miss that great old building with its jammin'-friendly nooks and crannies and the people who worked there.
But we look forward to starting the 2008 fall shindig season in a new home,

The Beethoven Waldheim Club

1984 Waldheim Rd, Hellertown. It's not far from the former Main St. shindig location
and .... it has a parking lot !
As well as the main non-smoking performance hall, the Beethoven Waldheim Club also has separate areas where jammers may congregate.
The B.W. Club will offer a varied menue of reasonably-priced food and beverages, so, as before, please, no coolers.

After exiting Rt. 78 at Hellertown
turn left and go south on Main St. (Rt. 412 S) about 3 miles until you see the Leithsville Fire Co.
Turn right on Flint Hill Rd. and proceed 1/3 mile until you reach Waldheim Rd.
(on right-see club sign).
Continue a short distance past Waldheim Rd.
then turn right into the gravel parking lot.

-- from the North: Take I-80 to rt. 33 south. Take second Wind Gap exit. Make a right onto rt. 512 south. Go one mile past the traffic light. At AFBA Bluegrass sign go right onto East Mountain Road. The park is 3/4-mile on left, past 'S' turns.

-- from the South: Take I-78 or rt. 22 to rt. 33 north. Take the Wind Gap exit. At end of ramp at Stop sign go left (south) onto rt. 512 south. Go one mile past the traffic light. At AFBA Bluegrass sign go right onto East Mountain Road. The park is 3/4-mile on left, past 'S' turns.

-- from Philadelphia: Take rt. 309 north to I-78 east to rt. 33 north. Take the Wind Gap exit. At end of ramp at Stop sign go left (south) onto rt. 512 south. Go one mile past the traffic light. At AFBA Bluegrass sign go right onto East Mountain Road. The park is 3/4-mile on left, past 'S' turns.
